On April 6, 2026, Larry Duke pled guilty to Aggravated Possession of Drugs,
a felony of the fifth degree, and was sentenced to 90 days in the Mercer County Jail.
On March 26, 2026, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office learned that the Jay
County Sheriff’s Office was pursuing a vehicle that failed to stop for law
enforcement. Mercer County deputies located the vehicle sitting stationary on State
Route 29 and spoke with the driver and sole occupant, Duke. While speaking with
Duke, deputies observed several signs of impaired driving and placed Duke under
arrest. Deputies executed a search warrant on Duke’s vehicle and located
methamphetamines.
