On April 22, 2026, Andrea E. Bowman pled guilty to fifteen (15) counts of
Theft of Drugs, felonies of the fourth degree. The charges stem from Bowman’s
theft of oxycontin from a dementia patient in a local nursing home. Bowman had
contracted with the nursing home to fill several open nursing shifts. Bowman stole
the oxycontin while on duty.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Board of Nursing conducted
the investigation.
Bowman will be sentenced on May 27, 2026. She faces a maximum of 22.5
years in prison and a $75,000 fine
