On April 1, 2026, Cesar Garcia pled guilty to one count of Aggravated
Possession of Drugs, a felony of the third degree. On March 12, 2026, officers from
the Celina Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Garcia’s vehicle. During
the traffic stop, officers learned that Garcia had an active warrant out of Georgia and
did not have a valid driver’s license.
While patting down Garcia, officers located a jewelry box containing
methamphetamine in Garcia’s pants pocket. While searching the vehicle, officers
located a loaded 9mm handgun between the driver’s seat and door. On the middle
rear passenger seat officers found a black bag that contained approximately 50-100
rounds of ammunition.
As part of Garcia’s plea, he agreed to forfeit the firearm, and all ammunition
found in his vehicle. He will be sentenced on April 29, 2026, where he faces a
maximum penalty of 36 months in prison. Garcia also faces possible deportation
