On February 25, 2026, Jesse R. Woods was sentenced in two criminal cases to a total of thirty (36) months in prison.
In September of 2025, Woods pled guilty to Aggravated Possession of Drugs (methamphetamines), a felony of the third degree. He also pled guilty to Failure to Appear as Required by Recognizance, a felony of the fourth degree, in a separate criminal case. Woods was initially sentenced in both cases to Community Control Sanctions (more commonly known as “probation”) for a period of up to five (5) years.
In mid-December of 2025, Woods violated his probation and was back before the Court for re-sentencing. At his re-sentencing hearing, the State argued for significant, consecutive (i.e., back-to-back) prison sentences due to Woods’ lengthy criminal history, past failures on probation (Woods had twenty-two (22) probation violations, not including the violations which brought him in front of the court for re-sentencing) and quick failure on probation in Mercer County.
