On September 16, 2026, Michael P. Espinosa was sentenced to a total of 15 months in prison in two separate cases.  In Case No. 25-CRM-039, Espinosa was convicted of Identity Fraud for claiming to be his brother during an investigation of a traffic-related incident.  In Case No. 26-CRM-079, Espinosa was convicted of Failure to Appear as Required by Recognizance for failing to appear for sentencing after pleading guilty to the Identity Fraud charge in Case No. 25-CRM-039.
